What’s there not to love about San Diego (except the cost of living). lol
Weather mostly nice year-round, scenery with mountains, ocean and desert all accessible, community closeness, smiles and hellos from random people, ample outdoor activities, loads of free live music, and the diversity of people who have traveled from all over.
It was a dream from the days of my childhood family vacations to one day have the opportunity to be a part of San Diego. Just a couple of months pre Covid, that wish became reality, and what divine timing that was!
The Spanish influence throughout the area, amazing tacos, tropical landscaping, and the proximity of Mexico, all this gives you a vacation vibe on a daily basis.
Balboa Park, Spanish Village, and Cabrillo National Monument are a few areas I enjoy walking through time and time again.
I found a wonderful church that I attend regularly to hear beautiful worship songs and impactful sermons which have strengthened and encouraged me.
The farmers markets in SD are some of the best and biggest, and I love to support farmers and small businesses.
I am grateful to be a part of the lovely San Diego community. – Leen Ghandour
