Hello!

My name is Matthew Iske, I am a San Diego native. I grew up here struggling to find my “path” in life. As a child and teenager, I had a hard time fitting in, I did not do well in traditional environments. Due to many factors, I found myself always having to figure out a way to blaze my own trail, struggling in the mainstream track. This led me to difficulty in high school, I ended up having to go to an alternative program to recover credits to graduate on time. I was working full time and trying to figure out where I was going to go as I watched many of my friends go away to college, seeming to have their lives figured out.

These experiences led to me understanding myself and developing skills that have served me tremendously well in life. I learned that I was much better off figuring things out on my own and utilizing my passions to take advantage of various opportunities that present themselves in life.

I am now happy to say that I have developed many skills and pursued many paths in life. I have coached professional fighters and have founded several different businesses and nonprofits. I currently operate the Unified Esports League (UESL) full-time. UESL is an organization that provides gaming and technology education to people from all walks of life. We have a tremendously strong special needs program that provides education to people with disabilities at zero cost to the participant or their family, the only in the country of its kind.

About Matthew Iske

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I love that I am able to have the opportunity to solve difficult problems every day and create solutions to improve the lives of others. I have always believed that the best businesses are those that solve other people’s problems most effectively and I am proud to say that through hard work I have been able to solve some problems for other people.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Believe. Nearly every battle we face is lost or won in our minds. Our dreams are made possible by the way we think and act in the world. The only way they become impossible is by us not believing in them. Delusional faith.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

I plan to continue doing what I am doing currently, to match my passions with my skills to solve problems for others in this world.
