I started playing piano at 7 years old and have kept playing ever since. Now 17, music has influenced who I am, from pushing myself to embrace the unknown to creating emotional connections with audiences. I have grown to accept my mistakes and enjoy the learning process. My passion to inspire others through meaningful work flourishes in writing and performing songs, as well as volunteering at local animal sanctuaries! I am really excited to release my first single, “Casually Lost,” in October to share with the world! In the future, I aspire to balance a life of touring, writing music, and caring for animals! Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is very supportive of my work and guides me to be confident in myself. I really love my parents for being so kind and caring about my goals in life, always encouraging me to do what brings me joy.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been playing music for over ten years, and as I have grown older, I’ve noticed that I am more open to making mistakes and getting creative! What I love the most about making music is how I can grow in my confidence while inspiring others to do what they love without fear holding them back.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
I would tell everyone that it is great to make mistakes and accept the imperfections because that’s what makes each of us unique. Don’t put pressure on yourself to be the best at something, but instead, find your passion to do what you love without letting fear hold you back.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5 years, I would love to be graduating with my bachelor’s degree in biology and performing my music around the country.

Q: What are a few of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love to go to Banana Dang for coffee and the best chocolate banana bread, Hello Betty’s for a delicious tuna melt, and Pizza Port for their yummy garlic veggie pizza.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I was born and raised in San Diego County; I love being so close to the beach!
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Isabelle from Free Flight is an amazing person that I have met in San Diego who is so passionate about helping animals, as well as teaching music! As a teenager, I’ve been told that I need to pick one career, but I admire Isabelle because she shows that it’s possible to follow multiple passions in life. I want to pursue both my goals of working with animals, as well as sharing my music with the world!
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I was a part of the free children’s choir, offered by Coastal Music Studios in Oceanside, where I also got my start in music at 7 years old. The choir not only teaches kids about music, but it benefits the community by supporting local charities and spreading the joy of making music. It also gives kids an opportunity to use their voices for good.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love to go to vendor markets hosted by artisans and entrepreneurs. It’s a special place where families can go support local businesses and enjoy the SoCal weather that makes this area so unique.
Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with my music idol Taylor Swift, at Petite Madeleine in Oceanside. I really value her work ethic and creative lyrics that pull listeners into a deep story. I would ask her about songwriting techniques and talk about her experiences in the music industry, as well as life lessons while eating amazing crépes!
For Fun
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I love to watch and sing along to the original Mary Poppins movie, but I keep the TV show “The Office” on a continuous loop (starting from season 2 of course)!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I did ballet for 11 years, and I am going back to dance this month after an injury. I enjoy dancing because I can express my emotions and feel other people’s experiences through dance interpretations!
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A Disneyland Monte Cristo sandwich is definitely a 10 out of 10.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My friends are really dedicated achievers and always support each other with positivity, even in challenging times. I truly appreciate them for their kindness, and they inspire me to continue doing what I love while hyping others up to follow their dreams!
Q: What community organizations and/or local nonprofits do you admire/support?
I am grateful to get the opportunity to be a volunteer at the Free Flight Bird Sanctuary and the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation (AHLF)! Both organizations create welcoming spaces for all to learn about animals and preservation! Free Flight is a nonprofit sanctuary for exotic birds and involves the community as an essential part of socialization with the parrots. AHLF is a nonprofit that educates guests in the discovery center about the Carlsbad lagoon and all the amazing creatures, from tortoises to falcons, that are local to the area.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
To not be afraid of failure, but enjoy the growth process and embrace imperfection.
Q: What Neighborhood do you live in?
I live in North County.

Please describe your ideal San Diego weekend:
My ideal San Diego weekend is going to the beach with friends and family for a picnic day and walking out on the jetty to look at all of the marine life.
