Who Am I? I am “COMMUNITY!” The success of children and families in the African-American community is dear to my heart. Through my continual research of the disparities of Black and Brown children who enter into the Child Welfare System, Black women dying during childbirth, as well as community disparities, birthed Beyond The Touch Infant Massage. Teaching parents and caregivers the benefits of massage and the proper way to effectively massage infants is an art that can change the trajectory and outcomes. Understanding circulation, digestion, and bonding that takes place when infants are massaged, has a positive influence on successful parenting and growth not only in families but in our community.
