About Margarita Y Pinhas
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Most of my family lives in Israel.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
After working for 20 years in tech departments at the most prestigious companies, I found my voice and connection in the wellness industry. Today, I teach yoga, organize wellness retreats, and speak internationally to share my passion, empowering individuals to find satisfaction in their lives.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Do not be afraid of changes, even if you are 90 years old, or, like me, when I was 37 years old, thinking as if I were 90. 😉
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself surrounded by my family, finding a balance between entrepreneurial life and family life. I want to be close to my family and friends, spending more time with people who give meaning to my life and contribute to the meaning of theirs.
Margarita Y Pinhas & Our Community
Q: What are a few of your favorite restaurants in our community?
The best I can remember are Pita 22, Pacific Social, Hamitbach, and Benihana – those that we tried and loved.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have been in the community for the last 6 years and I love that we have many like-minded individuals to connect with.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
It is exciting to see how you bring like-minded people together to learn from each other and collaborate. Bravo!
Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with Oprah Winfrey. I admire this woman and would love to know more about her mindset and the way she lives her daily life.
For Fun
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“Back to the Future” is a classic film that I thoroughly enjoy.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Something that usually surprises people about me is that I had many fears for over 30 years, and I overcame them to become a different version of myself. To achieve significant change, one has to overcome obstacles, and one of them is the feeling of victimization, the sense that everyone is better than me, and the biggest fear is the fear of success.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
I do not believe in perfection; I do believe in being human and in failing. But when you fail, it’s important to be open to admitting this and to change for improvement.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
It is the impactful individuals who inspire me the most. Witnessing those who persevere and never give up on their dreams fuels my motivation. I aspire to demonstrate that pursuing one’s passion can lead to both happiness and a successful career. Among the many, Oprah Winfrey, Tony Robbins, and Joe Dispenza are a few who significantly influence and motivate me.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I ever received from an old person was to ‘slow down.’
Q: What Neighborhood do you live in?
Carmel Valley
What I love about my Neighborhood:
Diversity
Please describe your ideal San Diego weekend:
Hiking with my family followed by a cozy movie night with popcorn, pure relaxation.
Q: Finally, what three words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Peace, connection, love.
