Born in Los Angeles and raised in North Park. Relocated to East County with my family in my early years. Started my career at Pac Bell in San Diego and was transferred to northern California eventually returning to San Diego to continue my career as a marketing consultant under my company Mary England PR which did political consulting, event planning, and fundraising. Elected to the Lemon Grove City Council in 2000 and moved on to become the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce President and CEO in 2008.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My father was a self-employed painting contractor, my mother was a homemaker and I have two sisters both still living. Parents have passed on.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I was in sales and marketing for many years, a political consultant, and elected Lemon Grove City Councilmember for 12 years. Also membership on several boards and committees.I love meeting people the most and networking with the business community

Always smile, have a positive attitude, and be grateful.
