I am a California native, but due to being in a military family, I have lived all over the world. I am married with two sons and two beautiful daughters-in-law. I am a lover of animals and spend my free time with my horses. I absolutely love riding trails in the beautiful Cuyamaca Mountains with my friends. I grew up riding horses, and they have been a passion of mine ever since I could walk.

About Tammy L Oluvic

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I am married to Mike, a retired US Navy Captain. His career in the navy spanned 25 years. I have two amazing sons, Rex and Max, and two beautiful daughters-in-law, Cori and Taylor. We have lived in multiple States and in Belgium and Germany. I love all of the adventures we have had during our time as a Navy family. Our family also includes four dogs, three cats, chickens, and three horses.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I am the Founder and CEO of Saddles In Service, a non-profit in Alpine. I absolutely love what I do: helping our veterans, active duty military, and first responders find healing through working with horses. Seeing our heroes find purpose and joy again is very rewarding. We also have quite a few rescued horses. Our heroes have helped rehabilitate them and give the horses new purpose as well. It is just so beautiful to see the healing taking place all around. We recently received a tremendous gift, the donation of the Circle T Ranch in Descanso. This gift has allowed us to grow and serve more heroes. Our program is in such demand that we have a waitlist of over 90 heroes. Having this new ranch will allow us to purchase more horses so we can help as many heroes as possible.
