My name is Allie, I am originally from New Jersey and moved out to San Diego 15 years ago. Which was the best decision I have ever made! As soon as I arrived in San Diego, the first thing I did was find a therapeutic riding center to start volunteering for as I had been volunteering for 8 years at one in New Jersey. I started volunteering at Helen Woodward Animal Center and later became a therapy instructor. Here is where I met RAD co-founders Katie Cram and Wayne Jackson. In my spare time, I love to travel, explore San Diego, go to Disney, read and go to musicals and concerts.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

My career is within the therapeutic horseback riding industry. I love everything about therapeutic riding! I was hooked from my first day on the volunteer job. I worked my way up in therapeutic riding, first becoming a volunteer, an instructor, then Program Coordinator, next Program and Volunteer Director, Board President, and now I am the Executive Director for Ride Above Disability Therapeutic Riding Center. Although it is not in my comfort zone, I have learned to love everything that comes along with the Executive Director role,
