I am the founder of “MomsTown,” a community-based newspaper shining a light on moms and the contributions moms make to our communities.
I am also the producer and host of “How Mom Made It!” a podcast showcasing makers, bakers, creators, and inventors. We’ve had such a great response to the new podcast that we are currently working on a new book and media project.

I love seeing the Faces of San Diego and supporting local people, neighborhoods, and businesses! I feel so lucky to live in such a great town and raise our family here.
I was born at Sharp Hospital, and my family moved to Poway in the 1960s. I graduated from Poway High School and went on to graduate from San Diego State University. Go Aztecs!
Upon graduation from college, I worked as a broadcast journalist in Montana, Idaho, and Arizona. I moved back to America’s Finest City to get married and raise my three boys in Encinitas.
I founded MomsTown in 2003. MomsTown started out as an internet-based radio show (pre-podcasts). That internet show attracted the eyes of an editor in New York. My business partner and I went on to write a couple of lifestyle books for moms. The first was “The MomsTown Guide to Getting It All” (Hyperion) and the second book was titled, “It’s All About You, Live the Life You Crave” (Simon & Schuster). We were in a contract with CBS/ Paramount for a few years, contributing content for mom entrepreneurs.
I’ve spent the past 20 years writing and creating audio content, and I’m currently working on a few new writing projects.
