As a woman who has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, I have struggled for years with issues of social anxiety, depression, and other issues, including dyslexia, insomnia, Tourette’s, and hypomania. This did not stop me from working hard to achieve my goals.
I wrote my first book at age 7, and after I retired from a 38-year career in massage and physical therapy, I decided to become a professional storyteller and advocate for other people with autism. I trademarked a character called Fairy Queen Flutterby. I traveled the globe teaching through the art of storytelling, “No matter the challenge, you to can be a big hero!” Unfortunately, COVID-19 ended that career.
I decided I wanted to be able to do more and mainstream myself. With the help of neurofield treatments, an electromagnetic stimulation that is very non-invasive, many symptoms begin to melt away. My sleep dramatically improved, which took away many of my symptoms that were created from sleep deprivation. I was finally in a place to have healthy relationships.
Now I have the ability to nurture relationships. Having real friends, colleagues, close acquaintances, and a happy marriage. This is what all of us deserve.
A lifetime of creating, writing, and advocating has led me to this moment! I have officially launched my new show, ‘Brilliance On The Spectrum’! With the help of my producer Steve Cassarino, AKA Chef Roc, we are getting our taking off!!
This show shines a bright light on all those individuals and groups that are offering creative, innovative, and positive actions, helping to improve the quality of life for those on the spectrum of autism!
About Robin A. Williams
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I grew up in a loving family environment. My parents were wonderful, and we, as children, wanted for nothing. Unfortunately, the world is not as kind. We all had to learn the hard way that life had many more challenges. I still have my father, and he is my best friend.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
It’s funny because when I’m asked about my career, I’ve had so many, but now I realize that I’ve been writing and journaling since I was seven. I wrote my first children’s book at age 7, which is now worldwide – Little Edwin’s Triumph. Writing and documenting advocating are still with me to this day, which reflects in my show Brillance On The Spectrum.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
“Shine brightly so others may have a lighted path!”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
As my show grows and gets more recognition, I will go for funding places that are committed to underserved special needs adults. Many of these people are considered throwaways, and they deserve quality of life just like the rest of us.
