Hello! My name is Taylor and I am a journalist based in San Diego. I am currently working on my bachelors in journalism at San Diego State University. In my free time, I love to travel, read, surf and hike.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family lives in Sacramento, Ca. I have a younger brother and sister, and two cats and two dogs.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
As a journalist, I love informing the public on issues that they should know about. In the past, I have loved working on my travel blog, and in the future I hope to go into investigative journalism.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Advice I would give to others would be to live your life to the fullest, and don’t let others opinions hold you back.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In five to ten years, I hope to be checking travel destinations off my bucket list 🙂

Q: What are a few of your favorite restaurants in our community?
My favorite restaurant is the Taco Stand. I love their shrimp tacos.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in San Diego for 6 months, and just started working in March.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
The most interesting person I have met in this community is Dr. Robert Garcia. I love that how is open minded and always energetic. He is also very passionate about the work he does and does not hesitate to help people out.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The people. Everyone is nice and welcoming, and the whole of San Diego just feels like a close knit community.
Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with Jane Goodall. I would love to talk to her about her work with chimps. I would let her choose the restaurant.

My favorite TV show is Friends. I probably have that show memorized.

Most people do not know that I am a type one diabetic.
