Hi I am Niki, Owner of San Diego Moms! My world revolves around being a mom to my beautiful daughter Kaialani (7), running the show at San Diego Moms (or trying to), and my two bulldog sidekicks, Angel and Deuce. I am extremely passionate about people, this community, and giving back. I’m also on a mission to help instill a sense of community, empathy, and volunteerism in the next generation.

The beach and the ocean are where I find pure joy – they have a remarkable way of soothing my soul and heart like nothing else can. Being near the water fills me with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. While I might not take to the waves like I once did, I still experience that same satisfaction of diving in a crashing wave.

I have traveled and moved quite a bit in my life. After Hawaii and various pit stops, I’ve settled in San Diego – for the second round, and it feels like the ultimate decision. San Diego offers that ideal blend for raising a family, and I’m here for it.

Before this chapter, I’ve worn multiple hats – event planning, marketing, and sales – all within the corridors of Fortune 500 companies. Each role has contributed to my current journey, shaping my approach and strategies, while some lessons found their way to the cutting room floor.

Running a business is HARD, but I’ve never been more invested. It’s a constant learning curve, but that is an environment that I thrive in. I do hope to one day reap the benefits of having a business that offers flexibility and the opportunity for me to be more present and enjoy life a bit!

About Niki Jones

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I have a beautiful daughter Kaialani (7) . . . . Kaia in Hawaiian means Sea, and Lani is Heaven – to me, the two most beautiful things in life are the Heavens and the Sea. I have two older sisters who live with their families and my parents in Oregon, and my younger brother, who just became a pilot (proud sister), lives in Hawaii with his two children!

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I shared a bit about my previous work history above, but what I love most about what I do is connecting moms and creating events and content that brings joy to families.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

I think the best way to give advice is to listen. I will be the first one to admit listening is a challenge for me, but oftentimes, when I am yearning for advice – I get the most from people when they listen and allow me to figure it out on my own (even though they guided that whole process and gave the advice).

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

That is a great question. I hope that I am in a position to travel with my daughter. Give back my money and time in ways that make a huge impact.
