Brett Davis is a Native of San Diego, a Children’s Book Author, and a 3-time Natural Mr. Universe with a successful 48-year career in the fitness, wellness, and nutrition industry. He recently retired as a Radio Personality on Salem Media, The Answer Southern California. He was previously a host on Real Talk San Diego with ESPN. Brett is the CEO and Founder of IQ Podcasts Media Network and is also the founder of The 3rd Annual San Diego Teachers Academia Awards Gala. Currently, Brett and Sarah’s Documentary, in collaboration with Executive Producer Larry Delrose and Director Allen Carrasco, “THE BIG DUMP- Our Pacific Ocean in Crisis” was featured at the 2023 Coronado Island Film Festival. This film is centered around one of the worst environmental crises in the history of the US.

Brett’s wife, Sarah, is his ally and partner through all of his endeavors. Sarah was raised as an Army Brat and traveled worldwide, attending 23 different schools. Sarah is an avid traveler and enjoys exploring new cultures and cuisines. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and is a passionate social and environmental justice advocate. She has held a few positions in the Corporate World, but her love for design came through when she started a clothing line at Nordstrom in the late 90s. After meeting her husband Brett, she dove headfirst into his health and fitness world. Sarah even became the Executive Producer for Brett’s Radio shows. Sarah is the Co-founder of IQ Podcasts Media Network and is the Executive Producer and Engineer for the Podcast Shows. She also plays a pivotal in marketing and business development and is also the Editor in Chief of their Magazine Brand. Her dedication to quality has helped the company build a loyal following of listeners and clients. Sarah is also the Co-founder of The San Diego Teachers Academia Awards Gala, which is held annually in December. Sarah is also a Producer for “THE BIG DUMP – The Pacific Ocean in Crisis,” a film about the millions of gallons of sewage spilling into our ocean daily.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

Brett and Sarah have three daughters. Yvonne from his previous marriage, Makenna and Madison.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

Both Sarah and Brett have a natural talent for storytelling. We love the day-to-day operations of running IQ Podcasts. We enjoy helping people tell their stories and share their ideas with the world, and they are constantly inspired by the creative energy of their clients. Every day is different. Our Company has grown rapidly and has become a go-to source for podcast production services in San Diego. WE also developed a love for filmmaking, and we’re already planning and plotting for their next film along with our partner, Larry Delrose.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Follow what’s in your heart! People always regret not doing something they wish they had.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

Hmmmm… 5 years, four more films under our belts. IQ Podcasts in several other cities.

Ten years, possibly selling our business… Time to enjoy the future grandkids 🙂

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

Community is an overused word, but in Coronado, it means Family.

Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?

We would take the Dali Lama to Clayton’s Bakery and Bistro on the back patio for a croissant and a cup of tea.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

Brett cries easily at movies that touch his heart and move his soul. He is a softy.

Sarah was a martial artist when she was younger and competed in competitions.
