I was born in Minneapolis, MN, and raised in Wisconsin. As a teen, I moved with my family to Fresno, CA, and lived there most of my adult life. I am a member of Rotary, the Lions International, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Republican Women of East County, I was selected as Citizen of The Year by the El Cajon City Council.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am the mother of two children, and grandmother to four. My mother had a very patriotic family that dates back to the Mayflower. Her family includes Scott King of La Mesa, who began the Travelodge Motel chain +
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have a degree in Paralegal and Finance. For the past nearly 12 years, I have been employed at East County Transitional Living Center. I have served as the Director of Development for the past seven years.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
“Gratitude makes Optimism sustainable” is a quote from Michael J. Fox that I believe could help us all.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Working part-time, traveling, and enjoying my life.

Q: What are a few of your favorite restaurants in our community?
My favorite places to eat are Anthony’s Fish Grotto, Terra on El Cajon Blvd., Bonnie’s in El Cajon, and China Panda Garden.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I moved to El Cajon in 2010 from Lake Arrowhead, CA.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I believe it would be Mayor Bill Wells. He is, in my opinion, a concerned, caring Mayor who leads and listens.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
As an East County resident, I enjoy the “Hometown” feel of the Wednesday night car shows and Friday night concerts that are put on in downtown El Cajon. Lots of fun with great restaurants and wonderful crowds.
Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?

Hoosiers is one of my favorite movies, and Frasier is one of my favorite TV shows

My sister. She encourages me through every valley.
