I am from Orange County, CA and moved down to San Diego for college. In May 2024, I graduated Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communications! While in college, I had an internship with ProSys Information Systems as a Marketing Coordinator where I assisted the Director of Marketing in marketing and event planning.

I am still fortunate enough to live in San Diego and I currently work as a Marketing Coordinator for Spade, an upgraded healthy soda, and for Moonshine Beach and Moonshine Flats (Moonshine) as part of the Hospitality and Entertainment team. As a Marketing Coordinator, I work with the team of other coordinators and assist in event planning, creating graphics, and filming content. As part of the Hospitality and Entertainment team for Moonshine, I am on the floor of the venue interacting with guests and assisting in teaching line dances.

I really enjoy the mix of the two jobs because I get to further my Marketing skills while holding a customer service role where I get to interacting with people.

About Taylor Fong

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

Currently I work as a Marketing Coordinator and in Hospitality and Entertainment. I really love having the two jobs because the roles are different from each other that I feel they are working each of my strengths. I studied marketing so being able to continue to learn and grow is an amazing opportunity, but working hospitality gives me the opportunity to meet and interact with people.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Just trust that everything is going to work out. When I was in my last semester of college, it just seemed like everything was going wrong, but now I can look back on what happened, I can see that everything did work and I just needed to give the situation time.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

In 5 years, I hope I am still lucky enough to live in San Diego. I also hope that I am apart of a marketing agency working in content creation.
