My name is Chris, I have been working in the restaurant industry for about 15 years. I love making people smile through my work and I love being someone that others can feel comfortable talking to.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have a semi-large family, in total there are about 23 of us, 17 of which all live in San Diego and the other six in Hawaii.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have done a plethora of jobs in the restaraunt industry. Everything from busboy, to now chef, and the thing I love most are the people I get to work with along the way.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
You don’t have to love where you work but you shouldn’t dread it. I love cooking and am fortunate enough to do this as a career, but everyone should be able to find someplace they feel content and not dread going to work.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully opening my own space

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
In San Diego specifically, I enjoy my own spot ‘Working Class’ but when I’m looking for a change I’ll head to ‘The Mission’, ‘Cafe 21’, or ‘Underbelly’

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The diversity
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Will Ferrel because he is my favorite actor and I would probably take him to ‘Working Class’ because the environment is inviting and the staff is welcoming.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I am a big lover of anime so I do not watch a ton of regular T.V. but if I do watch T.V. I enjoy a lot of Gordon Ramsay programs. As far as favorite movies, if I had to pick one it would be ‘Rounders’
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I don’t particularly do anything interesting outside of work haha. I just play games or watch anime while brainstorming at home.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
If we are talking about food, I’m gonna have to say PB&J. If we are talking about my work specifically, I would say our burgers.
