About Dustin Markley

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I have a beautiful wife named Jessica, whom I’ve been married to for 12 years. We started dating our junior year of high school and have been inseparable ever since. We have one beautiful daughter named Hazel. She’s two years old and is the spice of life.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I worked at a commercial chemical company called Ecolab for 11 years in their pest control and chemical divisions. After having a baby, we wanted to create a business of our own, where I could use my knowledge and experience to grow a local business, build lasting relationships, and put customers 1st. We love helping our community solve pest issues while building friendships.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Don’t give up on pursuing your goals. You are capable of way more than you think.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

The local experts in pest control throughout the county of San Diego, with a team of technicians ready to lend a hand.

Dustin Markley & Our Community

Q: What are a few of your favorite restaurants in our community?

Mona Lisa in Little Italy has the most amazing Italian sandwiches, and Caribbean Taste on Imperial Ave. has excellent island food. We live in North County, and you’ll always find me at North County Roastery for the best cup of coffee in the county. There are so many unique places to eat throughout the county.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

I’ve worked throughout the county for 12 years.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

There are too many to name. I’d have to narrow it down to Bob Sole, owner of Express Blinds. As a new business owner, he’s been a great example of building relationships and treating others.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

I love how San Diego is a large city that feels small and local. There are so many cultures that come together to make this community special.

Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you all meet for this lunch?

Since I’m a colossal surfing geek, fish tacos with Rob Machado would be pretty cool—no preference on the taco place. SD has too many good ones to choose from.
