About Minnie Rzeslawski
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Since 1985, I’ve been married to my husband, Luis, and together, we have two fantastic daughters named Bianca and Ciara. San Diego is my hometown, where I was born and raised, and I absolutely love it here!
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I’ve worked as a Realtor and Broker since 1989, catering to San Diego and Riverside Counties. While I’ve enjoyed other professions in my lifetime, real estate stands out as my true passion. I take immense joy in educating and guiding my clients through the intricate processes of buying or selling a home.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
I was raised with the principle of giving back to the community and considering the well-being of others. My counsel is to listen to your heart and prioritize humanity over financial gains!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Over the next decade, I aspire to persist in the work I’m passionate about, which is real estate. Concurrently, I aim to empower my daughter Bianca, who is also a real estate broker, to play a more significant role in our shared endeavor. Having been by my side for the past 17 years, she is my valuable co-realtor – and the owner of 24K Property Management. Together, we strive to continue providing our clients with education and guidance in the realm of real estate.
Minnie Rzeslawski & Our Community
Q: What are a few of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love to have a meal at local restaurants. Several that come to mind are Filippis, Oceanos, Romescos, Barbusa, The Smoking Goat, Parc Bistro, Ruth Chris, Roy’s, Javier’s, and I can go on and on.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I’ve been a San Diego native, born and raised here, my entire life. I have an in-depth knowledge of this community.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I have numerous influential individuals in our community who are clients and friends, making it challenging to single out just one person. Many of them are regarded as San Diego’s royalty. However, out of courtesy and discretion, I refrain from naming them. They are all incredibly interesting personalities!
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Porky’s!! Unfortunately, it’s been closed down for a while now. It was originally located in Barrio Logan (Logan Ave), where I spent my formative years. The neighborhood holds a special place in my heart, connecting me to my roots, and I still maintain a strong bond with that area. Some of my family members reside there. My daughter, who bought her first investment home in Barrio Logan in 2014, still has this home and says she will never sell.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I currently live in Bonita and have called Tierrasanta and Chula Vista home at different times, but I’ve been in and out of Bonita since 1985. I’ve made Bonita my consistent residence since 1995. I particularly appreciate the small community atmosphere and the charming sight of horses and vehicles coexisting here.
Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?
Oprah Winfrey! Imagine having the opportunity to gain insights into all the remarkable individuals she has interviewed and encountered. I would extend an invitation for a home-cooked meal at my place, but if that doesn’t quite meet her standards, then Romescos it is.
For Fun
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Law and Order or FBI. Anything to do with law, politics, or history.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’m genuinely passionate about politics and history – those subjects never captivate my interest.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
San Diego holds the highest ranking of 10 out of 10 for me. While I understand that people often complain about issues like homelessness, taxes, and high living costs, there’s no other place on Earth I’d prefer to call home. I feel fortunate to have been born in this city.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
I consistently challenge myself to become the best version of who I can be, and, of course, my family plays a crucial role in supporting and encouraging that journey.
Q: What community organizations and/or local nonprofits do you admire/support?
New Americans Museum in Liberty Station. Linda Caballero-Sotelo, Executive Director and Museum Founder, Deborah Szekely. They have done a tremendous job of providing inspiring educational and cultural programs to honor our diverse multi-generational immigrant experiences.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Persist in your pursuit of knowledge, irrespective of your chosen path in life. In my real estate career, I consistently enhance my understanding by enrolling in courses on a monthly basis. This continuous education allows me to broaden my expertise and, in turn, share valuable insights with my clients. I always encourage my fellow agents to follow suit, urging them to participate in numerous classes and courses. Even in areas they believe they are well-versed, there’s always an opportunity to discover something new and enrich their skill set.
Q: What Neighborhood do you live in?
Wonderful Bonita.
Please describe your ideal San Diego weekend:
Devoting meaningful moments with my daughters and grandson Luca is a top priority for me. Whether it’s a day at the beach, exploring amusement parks, or simply preparing meals together at home, I cherish and embrace whatever activities they enjoy.
Q: Finally, what three words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Relaxation. Family. Peaceful.
