I am a father of two amazing boys, a husband to an awesome woman, a youth baseball coach, and a business owner. I decided to start a toxin free, natural laundry soap company called Bloop with a friend of mine in order to provide a human safe and eco-friendly laundry soap that actually smells amazing. People don’t realize how many toxins are in everyday laundry detergent that are extremely harmful to ourselves and our planet. Many of the “eco-friendly” options out there still have ingredients that can damage our waterways and animals that live in them, not to mention what they do to our own bodies. At Bloop, we try our best to be as environmentally conscience as possible. Our ingredients are safe and our packaging is as eco-friendly as possible. We believe in a sustainable future and are making strides to gently nudge the laundry soap industry in this direction.

About Trevor Young

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I am married to a beautiful woman that is both an artist and a nurse. We have two rowdy young boys 8 and 6 years old that love anything athletic.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I started a natural laundry soap company a couple of years ago called Bloop. It’s free of toxins, safe for sensitive skin, eco-friendly and smells amazing! It has been such a blast to work on a project like Bloop and really dive into a product that I can stand behind.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Chasing your dreams takes a lot of time, energy, and patience. Seeing your dreams grow is worth all the effort.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

I see myself living out my dreams of having a growing laundry soap company and being both of my kids baseball coaches. Those are my passions in life currently and I don’t see that changing.

Definitely Surf Bowl in Oceanside. It’s like taking a step back in time to going bowling with my family as a kid.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

All the smiles you see everywhere when walking around in San Diego. I’m from a big city and having a friendly vibe is a huge upgrade.

Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?

Haha that’s a tough question. I guess Jack Black. He seems like a fun dude to sit down with and have a good time. I’d probably take him to a hole in the wall place that serves bar food and just hang with the guy.
