Hi, I am Christina B. Jordan, an avid boy mom to two very active and athletic boys, Chase (17) and Blake (14) and my family resides in San Diego, California. Professional I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in individual gift fundraising which utilized my invaluable interpersonal skills to build networks and raise millions for causes I am most passionate about. I am the Founder of “Be Brave Today”, as well as a board member of many community not-for-profits so I can share with others my expertise in raising money for causes that help those less fortunate. I am a graduate of California State University, Chico with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

I have a deep love of nature and flowers – and I cherish my friendships, new and old.

About Christina Jordan

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I am the middle of three children, sandwiched between two boys. This dynamic taught me the value of holding your ground and understanding the value of my worth and the power of my voice. I became a mother later in life and enjoy raising and being around my two sons, Chase and Blake. We are a busy family of three, oftentimes found shuttling between basketball or football games. As these teenage boys find their wings for the next chapter in life, I am forging ahead in my entrepreneurial spirit.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I am a professional fundraiser in the healthcare and human services space. For over twenty years, I have raised funds to build hospitals, purchase life-saving equipment, and fund programs and services that support the community I live in. I often say, “I am not able to save a life in the clinical sense, but I can save a life by connecting philanthropists with a purpose.” The impact of philanthropy is priceless now and for future generations. I love what I do because it creates a ripple effect for generations to come.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Be brave, share your story and you will continue to evolve into the next greater version of yourself. …and be kind.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

My boys will be off living their best life and I will have a successful business built on my own brand that supports and helps women (and men) reach their goals.

Christina Jordan & Our Community

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

I do love a good pizza, so BEST Pizza is a favorite and there are many in town. For fancy dinners or “date nights” I love Mr. A’s.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

25+ years

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

Hal Wilson, Farmer’s Insurance. Hal is a one-of-a-kind person who knows everyone, is incredibly smart, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I believe he is the #1 agent in our area and I am so honored to have him as my neighbor.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

The Hamburger Factory – I have a picture of my oldest son in his dad’s arms when he was only days old.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

I like the heart and soul of our community. My kids have grown up here and my village of friendships that started when they were in Pre-K are strong today. We watch out for each other and celebrate our wins, provide hugs when needed, and realize how blessed we are.

Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

Princess Diana. Elegance personified. I would invite her to hike with me at Torrey Pines and then head over to a beachfront restaurant either in Del Mar or La Jolla. It would be a splendid day.

For Fun

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

Friends, MASH (back in the day), Jack Ryan, Jason Bourne, Rudy, Shawshank Redemption, Eat Pray Love

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

I was able to pay for my cheerleading and first year in college because I raised sheep in 4-H. We would purchase our lambs early in the year and take care of them until the Del Mar Fair. At the fair, I would showcase my sheep in different competitions and then put them through auction at the end of the fair.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?

A cold rainy day with a fire in the fireplace, football on tv, and loved ones around.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

I surround myself with a lot of people who inspire me in many different ways – business colleagues, personal coaches, and trainers. My faith is incredibly important to me.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?

Peaceful, fresh, love
